The theme of this Senate year is “Destination Legacy”.  To help support this theme, I have implemented a racing concept to go along with building legacies.   One of the important things we do as Senators, within our organization, is to follow the paths of those leaders and mentors who came before us.  In many cases, these individuals have established themselves as legacies.

As you progress towards the finish line, we become leaders, mentors and ultimately – Legacies.  That is our destination.  Anytime we become involved in the Senate whether it be socially, as support to a local Jaycee organization or as a leader within the Senate, we are driving towards becoming a Legacy.

This year of “Destination Legacy” will be a fun year with many opportunities to get involved. I encourage you to participate in” Wreaths Across America” and “Wheelchairs 4 Kids” which are non-profit organizations in which the Senate strongly supports.  I encourage you to get involved in your state, region and national Senate organizations.  Once you begin this commitment, you are on your way to your destination of becoming a Legacy.

I invite you to attend one or all of our National meetings this year…the Fall BOD Meeting will be in Tulsa, OK…the Winter BOD Meeting is in Kenner, LA…and the Annual Meeting is in Northbrook, IL.

Just remember as you begin your journey…..”The Life you live is the Legacy you leave.”
