Honor & Service
Welcome to the 2026-2027 Senate year. As we learned in Jaycees and continue to know as Senators, change is a constant part of our lives. This Senate year, we will celebrate the 55th anniversary of the U.S. JCI Senate. During the year, you will see reminders regarding this year-end celebration to be held in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Much has changed since our founding in 1972. Think about the ways we used to communicate from then until now. Our phone system alone has gone from our home phones, many still on a party-line system to today, where we rarely leave home without our cell phones. Through our 55 years, we change officers and administrations yearly.
One thing that has remained constant since its adoption, is our Mission Statement, “To foster friendships among Senators while supporting the Jaycee movement.” As an organization, I believe we need to place special emphasis on the second part of this mission, supporting Jaycee states and chapters any way we can, in any way they ask us to assist. Jaycees are our community’s future, as well as ours.
As we move through this Honor & Service year, we want to honor our Senators who “rock” their states by providing excellence in leadership and service. We look to honor our veterans, who proudly lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance, with a special year-end celebration. My hope is that we continue to honor each other.
Service is the hallmark of our time as a Jaycee and a Senator. We raise our voice every time we say, “And that service to humanity is the best work of life.” May we also continue to serve our Jaycee and Senate organization all our remaining days.
